Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Of San Ramon’s many excellent restaurants, The Slanted Door is a good place to start, with its modern Vietnamese style and organic, regional food. This popular dining spot is often praised for its excellent menu, especially its fine teas and wines.

Gianni's Italian Bistro is another fantastic option if you want traditional Italian food in San Ramon. At the famous Primavera Ristorante, you can also sample traditional Italian cuisine with a touch of old-school luxury.

THE LOT City Center is a singular and family-friendly attraction in San Ramon. Equal parts cinema and restaurant, The Lot invites patrons to sample its continental dishes and drinks while enjoying one of its eclectic mix of shows (many of which are rated PG and kid-friendly).

San Ramon also has all your shopping needs covered. There are many different retailers, from boutiques to antique shops, and City Center Bishop Ranch is the largest. With over 300,000 square feet of renowned and upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment options, this is a timeless public square that has been reinvented for the current era. Things To Do

A visit to Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park is a top spot for a day of exploration, as this is a beautiful area with many hiking trails. Likewise, Forest Home Farms Historic Park offers a range of year-round activities and is suitable for families with children. Take your kids to Forest Home and learn what life was like on a farm in the Victorian era.

Of all its various events, San Ramon’s Art and Wind Festival is the most famous, and for good reason. The festival draws visitors from all parts of the country wanting to experience part of San Ramon’s vibrant arts scene. Attendees can treat themselves to street food while enjoying live music. Kids can create and fly kites and watch choreographed flying demonstrations.

A great local farmers’ market graces the community: the San Ramon Farmers’ Market. The gathering occurs Saturday mornings at City Center Bishop Ranch. If you don’t know any of the vendors yet, you can meet many of them in person at the market (or become a vendor yourself!).

If golf is the name of the game, you can book a tee time at The Bridges Golf Club. After your round, get lunch or dinner at the club’s onsite restaurant, which provides contemporary Californian cuisine.
