Esin Restaurant and Bar - 750 Camino Ramon Danville, Esin is an award-winning Danville "gem" where fabulous Mediterranan-New American farm to table dishes including mind-blowing desserts are served daily for lunch and dinner.
The Peasant & The Pear is the flagship restaurant of the many outstanding eateries run by renowned local Chef Rodney Worth. The menu’s “peasant cuisine” includes salads, sandwiches, and entrees served in an outdoor bar on Prospect Ave., a setting very much in harmony with Downtown Danville (the chef recommends the Italian lamb shank).
Bridges Restaurant and Bar is perfect for a delightful dinner, a date, or drinks and cocktails with friends. After the release of the film Mrs, Doubtfire, in which one of the most memorable comedy “reveal” scenes of all time was filmed, Bridges received nationwide acclaim! Forbes Mill Steakhouse is also a fantastic spot if it’s seafood and steak you’re seeking. The Grille at Blackhawk is another excellent choice if American comfort food and a laid back atmosphere are in order. Another fantastic restaurant is Bagel Street Cafe, which makes eggwiches, breakfast bagels, and even pizza bagels.

Outside the friendly confines of Downtown Danville are several beautiful parks. Check out Hap Magee Ranch Park for a fun family outing or a picnic.
Each year, residents look forward to the Danville Summerfest, a wonderful event for families with young children. The festival features concerts, a collection of works by local artists, elite food vendors (even by Danville’s standards), local brews, and more than enough fun for the kids.
The Danville Farmers’ Market, at the corner of Railroad and Prospect Avenues, is a busy spot each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market highlights local vendors with seasonal produce; in the fall, you can shop for fresh apples, grapes, and vegetables like artichokes and Brussels sprouts. Danville is also known for its famous 4th of July parade.
The prestigious and private Blackhawk Country Club is an oasis for those who value the finer things in life, with membership options for access to upscale amenities like clubhouses, tennis villas, and a top-tier sports complex.
